March 2009 - first month at NL200

that's about 2900$ from playing, not great but not bad either :)

+400$ from pokerstrategy dutch community top 10
+1800$ from partypoints/bonusses/... (need a few thousand more points to cash the 1500$/30k partypoints bonus)

almost 4k€ this month, best month ever, first month on NL200, most hands played in a month ever,...
u get the picture :P

next month I'm not going to play that much, lots of deadlines for school coming up, going skiing again,...

I also went to the casino and played some live 2/2 in breda (about 3hours or so), won 120€, makes it a 4k€ month after all :)

I plan on going back again soon or maybe go to brussels/namur because casino play is sooooooooooo bad :)
people really suck :D

I'll try to update this blog more frequently but I had a really busy month and I figured I'd better put my time in to playing/watching vids/... than blogging :)

February recap - NL200

February was a weird month.
I had some days where I played shitloads (-1200 to breakeven,...), other days where I didn't play at all.
Here's a graph:

I almost played 10k hands of NL200 and I must say it's a much thougher limit.
A lot more 3betting/squeezing going on but still enough fishes to make it worthwhile :)

I think I ran an enourmus amount under EV but it's still positive so that's fine by me :)
Also made ~400$ in bonusses so all in all, not a bad month ;)

I'll try to play double the hands this month or at least 40k to get some volume in because I had the idea I didn't play enough this month (went skiing for a week, school started again,...)

Oh yeah, I'm 21 now so Vegas here I come! (?)

No update in a while - here it is!

Didn't update in a while, sorry :)
January was a good month:


9-12tabling works for me, I even took a few NL200 shots (+1buy in total) but I noticed I wasn't ready for it so I'm delaying moving up until I have the proper BR/mindset for it.
I also withdrew some money for my skitrip which was awesome, 5 days of perfect snow, sun and no broken bones :D

I got my exam results, passed everything except Religion (9/20) (other courses: 2x 10/20 and 3x 12/20).

As for february, I haven't played a lot due to skitrip, blackmember party (awesome! don't remember much though :P) and busy first weeks of school.
I did have an awesome comeback day, went from -1200$ to ~breakeven, really sick! (hand 5000-11000 or so)
Slightly negative but due to clearing some bonusses (~300€) I'm in the green zone :)

Oh yeah, in 2 weeks I'm turning 21 so I'll be able to legally play in the Belgian casino's (Namen/Brussels).

January so far

Well, january didn't go that well up 'till now:

Yesterday I managed to break even for the month so that's always nice, I played 9 tables and decided to stop playing fancy and just play ABC poker. (last 4k hands of the graph)
Less variance this way and that's exactly what I need!

My HUD was broken for a week or so but now it works again.
I'm also considering buying spade-eye because with all the hand histories I'm getting every day I think it'll be +EV to be able to spot the fish with the click of a button.
Only problem is the trial version keeps freezing and crashing so untill that's fixed I'm not paying anything :D

As for pokerstrategy, I might make diamond if I can squeeze in some sessions after my exams.
Playing 9 tables 20k hands shouldn't take that long :P
Even if I don't make it Timor is still taking me to the black member party so it doesn't really matter :)

Almost forgot to mention my exams.
I had 4 exams already in 8days, 3 of them went fine (including 2 of my biggest courses), the 4th one was religion and as an engineering student, it's not really for me so I didn't study that much for it but maybe I'll get a 10/20, that would be nice :D
Anyways, I have 2 more to go in little more than 1 week so I certainly should have enough time for that :)
Maybe squeeze in some poker, who knows?

A new year and a new blog!

Hi!

So I decided to make a new blog.
This time I'm going to keep updating it. At least one time every week :)

2008 was the year I started playing poker seriously online. You can check the graph below.
2009 will be the year where I grind myself up from NL100 up to NL400 and maybe even higher.

I saw a lot of 2008 graphs on 2+2,... where people started at NL100 and ended up having a 6figure graph so that's kind of my goal here, all be it a little optimistic :)

At the moment I'm playing NL100 shorthanded at PartyPoker under the alias TimothyVdp2 so if u recognize me at the table say hi! ;)
